A health official with the world health organization has contacted the deadly Ebola virus while working with infected victims in Sierra Leone.
According to a statement today by the global body, “This is the first time a WHO official has been infected with the viral disease.”
It was not clear how the nurse contracted the disease, but consular treatment would be deployed to manage the victim.
